Many ESP32 development boards have an accelerometer sensor built-in. This sensor can be used for step detection. In this project, I will show you my first step counter, which includes several advanced features, such as:

Adjusting the sensor sensitivity
Setting the step length
Displaying the distance traveled
Displaying the calories burned

This device is meant to be used when you go for a walk with a purpose—whether it's for weight loss or, like me, simply to stay active since I spend most of my day sitting. So, I wanted a precise device that would give me an accurate step count when i go to my walk.
