Emily Snee | I Made Old Curtains into a Victorian/Edwardian Walking Skirt! 1895 Pattern - Keystone System/ Guide @EmilySnee | Uploaded January 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This late Victorian/Edwardian walking skirt made with a 1895 pattern from the Keystone Guide to Jacket and Dress Cutting was actually a breeze to make. In terms of both the pattern drafting and the making of the skirt itself, I found it simple and straightforward and it would be great for a beginner sewing project for anyone interested in vintage style, historical fashion, historical dress or history bounding.

I, once again used upcycled/recycled material in the form of old curtains I purchased second hand and was really happy with the results!

I made this skirt for a full costume inspired by my favourite book The Night Circus by writer Erin Morgenstern for the Foundations Revealed 2021 Contest.
