When I look at an hourglass, I am always amazed by its movement. It seems that the wisdom of ancestors is contained in being able to measure a certain amount of time only with sand.
This time, I came up with a special type of time measuring device. The shape is different from an hourglass, but I thought about what it would be like if a steel ball could roll from side to side and measure a certain amount of time.
It looks simple from the outside, but there is a motor drive inside and a plunger that moves along the bolt, and bearings are installed on both sides.
The motor was made to be able to control the speed with a simple module. I'm confident that it's a work that can give off a modern feeling.
Blue candle oil is added to the acrylic tube to give it a smooth effect according to the movement of the iron ball, and it can prevent rusting of the iron ball.
It is a system that is equipped with limit switches on the left and right so that the iron ball can reciprocate within a certain section, and can be used for various purposes.
