Bridgerton background characters have bonnets, at least. Here's another! Hang out with me while I make a buckram bonnet form and then STRUGGLE to cover it in wiggly black silk and decide on trim. This bonnet goes with the Costume Parisien Fashion Plate 1610 from c. 1816 and Ruth Marten's rendition, which includes an alligator shawl, which will be Part 4 in this series.
