I used granite boulders weighing about 200-300lbs and walnut to make a bed for my new house. The bed is attached to the wall with a steel ledge so that it appears to float with the wood frame resting on 2 granite stones. I cut the stones with an angle grinder and lined them with cork to keep the stone from scratching the wood.
