I have been needing new rainwear for a couple years now but I couldn't find the right coat.
Then I happened to stumble upon 2.5 meters of soft shell fabric in the discount section of my local Fabricland, and low and behold it looked like just the right amount of fabric to create the 1952 cape coat from this photo I had saved a few years ago.

With fabric and inspiration in hand it was time to make it a reality!

This entire project ended up taking around a month for me to make with my limited sewing time due to my injuries.
