Inside-Out Tracking in VR mode, via Augmented Reality. A more advanced version, with lens distortion, etc., is coming in AR Portfolio 1.6.
This is based on ARKit, Apple's framework for augmented reality. What you're seeing here is inside out tracking. Combine this with the light estimation, plane detection, and all the other stuff ARKit and AR Portfolio give you, and you have a true VR experience right now, in any cheap ass headset.
I guarantee if I can do this using Apple's engine (and my own custom eye separation code), Apple has DEFINITELY done this internally. This is likely what their end game is. Deploy ARKit to the masses, let people build up a library of AR experiences, then drop an AR / VR headset at some point that can take advantage of all of that, PLUS they'll have years of experience and data on tracking things.
Apple is up to something. They're building the ultimate VR headset. I know it. I can feel it in my bones :D

![I had terrible voiceovers, so I fixed it
Record perfect voiceovers one line at a time with VoiceOverAndOver.
[ Ironically, I couldnt do it for this video because I was showing the app at the time it was recording. Why does software have to be like this? ]
Ever flub one word at the end of a five minute take and have to start over? I built VoiceOverAndOver to fix that. Paste in your script, and the app splits it into individual lines. Record each line on its own, and if one sounds bad, just re-record that line, not the whole thing!
In this 2 minute video I show you the full workflow:
- Paste your script (or import an SRT caption file)
- Record each line with one click
- Re-record any line until it sounds right
- Adjust volume per line and reorder with drag and drop
- Merge everything into one seamless track
- Export as WAV or MP3, with optional captions (SRT, VTT), Premiere/Resolve markers, and Audacity labels
Perfect for YouTube narration, tutorials, audiobooks, and any project where you want clean, consistent voiceover without the endless retakes.
