So, I haven't written a song in forever. This song was a relief to write. It was the song I knew I needed, but had given up on writing. Tried a few times and everything was just not what needed to be said--so I sort of gave it up. Then this one night out of the blue--from those first few notes. It is for my dear . . . sometimes life kicks us around but the process gives us a complete joy of gratitude later down the road. That's how I feel--grateful--I have a gift worth the journey, and that's something worth saying.
