People keep claiming I hate Mushoku Tensei, even though I’ve repeatedly said the exact opposite. In this video, I clear up the misconception and explain why Jobless Reincarnation is one of my top three isekai of all time and the second-best Japanese isekai, ranked just below Re:Zero and Lord of the Mysteries. I talk about why I genuinely love the series and the light novel, while also addressing the one area I consistently critique: Rudeus as a character and some of the author’s more questionable writing decisions. Criticizing a deeply flawed protagonist is not the same as hating an entire series, and that distinction seems to get lost in the Mushoku Tensei fandom. With season 3 approaching, I also confirm that more Mushoku Tensei videos are coming, and that any supposed “hate” is completely imaginary. This video is about honest criticism, media literacy, and why loving a series doesn’t mean blindly defending every character choice.
