so on 21/06/23 I had just come home from an 11 hour shift at work. I was sat on the couch watching YouTube at 2am and all of a sudden the lounge flashed a bright white like a flash bang and all of a sudden a massive explosion sound occurred which simultaneously wiped out the power to the whole street including the street lights. For a brief moment i genuinely thought we had been hit by a bomb or a car had blown up, but thankfully it was just lightning. Sadly however it had hit the WIFI modem on the top of a telephone pole nearest to my house and completely destroyed it. Since then the WIFI company have said on 3 separate occasions they will come and fix it so our neighbourhood can have WIFI but it is yet to be sorted. Fortunately my family have had fibre WIFI installed so we no longer need a WIFI modem to be connected to the internet.
