So far I haven't been too impressed with Brandon Sanderson's Secret Novels. Both Tress of the Emerald Sea and The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England were medium books for me. Not amazing, but at least not bad. My biggest issue with Tress of the Emerald Sea was the narration style choice. I almost didn't even read Yumi and the Nightmare Painter the moment I realized it also featured Hoid as a non-POV character narrator. Almost.
