Getting ill in the Philippines while solo travelling. I was in El Nido, Palawan, alone when my sickness started to happen. I was shaking, started seeing a blackout, got a fever, and was vomiting. Turns out that getting sick in the Philippines is common, but it was quite scary for me because I am traveling solo. There are many things to watch out for when you travel, for example, a friend of mine had a parasite and was admitted to the hospital. Things to avoid in the Philippines. WATCH BEFORE YOU GO.

In all of this, however, Filipino people were amazing. They took care of me and showed me support during the hardest part of my journey. Filipino culture is incredible and the people there became my family ❤️
