I got braces!! And what a journey this will be. 2 years of pain. However, I'm in my 20s and decided to get braces. I also want to get some kind of heads up on what to expect when getting braces as an adult.

First week I extracted my front tooth. Second week the orthodontist put brackets on my molars and canines. Third week I got brackets on all my teeth + powerchains. The horror!!
So my plan is to have braces for 2 years and this is my initial period. The orthodontists extracted my front tooth. Don’t be alarmed, that tooth was chipped, had a root canal and was about to fall apart. It was discoloured and the filling got really ugly. So we decided to extract that front tooth instead of pulling two healthy teeth. The plan is to substitute my central incisor for my front incisor with a crown. And it will look freakin’ FABULOUS before you say anything! I trust my orthodontist!
