After finishing 5th in the men's shot put final at the Commonwealth Games 2026, Tajinderpal Singh Toor revealed that he had suffered a Grade-1 tear just 12 days before the competition.

Toor, who entered the final with a season's best of 21.03m, managed a best throw of 20.27m in the final.

Fellow Indian Samardeep Singh Gill finished 7th with a best effort of 20.03m.
