Sand down the brass dials to reveal their gold (or brass) color.
Use fine sandpaper, then realize we need something grittier.
Use some polish that makes a mess. Step unnecessary. Toothbrush helps.
Try painting the Nikon logo matte black. Looks like caca.
Use electrical tape instead. For now. Or maybe ever.
Create our own personalized hot shoe cover since everything else is $79.
Put on a leather half-cover to complement the brass dials.
Use a brass shutter release button.
Put on a handmade, dark brown, leather wrist strap. (This step didn't happen since the handmaking takes a while)
Put on a Leica mount Thypoch vintage-inspired 50mm f2 lens.
Enjoy staring at it.
I was going to do full gold knobs but thought that might be too much for me. Check out @cammackey He has a Nikon Zf with full brass dials.
