Pink soup never happened in any of my Sims 2 videos, but it does happen, especially when my game has been open for 6+ hours.

1. Match your graphics card, dude, it's too new for Sims 2 to recognize.

2. Do the 4GB patch, with the software it takes 60 seconds, you just locate your game's launch file.

3. If you're leaving the computer for a while, restart the game. It's worth it.
4. I think that part is why I didn't get pink soup up until recently.
5. Also, windowed mode. Always windowed mode. Get that " -w" going in your desktop shortcut and the game will be more stable in general. You can use Borderless Gaming (free) to make it look like full-screen.
