Shock Troop Gauntlet, Damnation difficulty Darktide gameplay on Excise Vault Spireside-13, Freight Port HL-32-2, "The Hourglass", using the Munitorum MK VI Power Sword.
I recently posted a video questioning whether the Antax MK V Combat Axe was better than the Power Sword in hoard scenarios (Check that video out HERE: youtu.be/92QNSYKhDLQ). A couple of people mentioned in the comments that the blessing Power Cycler (Increased Energised Duration on Chained Energised Hits) is what would solidify the Power Sword as the better weapon. After FINALLY finding it I gave it a go, to see if this really would make me a Power Sword believer!
The blessing as people mentioned, does make a HUGE difference to the effectiveness of the weapon. Increasing the up-time of the charge means less down-time trying to charge, in-turn meaning you are vulnerable considerably less while you flounder to activate the weapon. I found this to make it extremely fun to use in comparison to how it is without the blessing.
Am I now a Power Sword believer? Not just yet. This was my first match using the blessing so I would like to throw myself into some more scenarios, hopefully some where I am fending for myself without team help, before I make my decision. For now, it is looking promising as this is one lean mean heretic destroying machine.
Coupled with the classic "Emperors Flashlight" to make a nicely rounded build for this run through.
Let me know what you think in the comments!
LOADOUT:
Munitorum MK VI Power Sword
Kantrael MG XII Infantry Lasgun
Feats: 2-2-2-1-3-2
