The Airbus A340-600 is a stretched version of the Airbus A340 family, and is also the longest airliner ever built by the manufacturer.
German flag carrier Lufthansa was the largest operator of the -600 variant, operating as many as 24 of them. After being abruptly retired in 2020, a total of 10 of these planes were later brought back into service to meet demand for travel in summer 2022 and 2023.
In February this year, I managed to find myself a reasonable Aeroplan redemption on one of the A340-600's few routes - and jumped on it!

Back on February 22nd, Porter flew their inaugural flight into Calgary, using their brand new Embraer E195-E2s. Right now, theyre flying between Calgary and Toronto twice a day, with more frequencies and destinations likely to follow.

Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport is the busiest airport in Canadas Yukon Territory, serving the largest city of Whitehorse.
Its home to Yukons Airline, Air North, as well as a few other smaller operators including Alkan Air and Tintina Air.
I spent a couple hours of plane spotting there back in May, and got a nice glimpse at some of their regular traffic amidst their usual stunning backgrounds!
