The 5th Generation Camaro came with a very special version, the Z28. The previous generation of Camaro, there was little to separate the z28 from other trim packages. The 5th generation Camaro Z28 was very different though! With upgraded aerodynamics, wide fenders, and several hundreds of pounds of weight saved over the high horsepower ZL1. Carbon Ceramic brakes, 7.0L LS7 engine, and Z28 only wheels helped to really make this version something special. With only 1800 models made in total, they are not common to see at all.
When we had the opportunity to fix one of these monsters, we couldn't resist. In this video we complete the body work repairs with the help of Tim at Industry Garage/Street Bandito. Then we throw the z28 on the dyno at local Anderson Performance East. Lastly, we wrap the video up with a numbers break down of how much we have into the repair on this special z28.
