Singapore is full of famous chicken rice stalls… but there’s one name that keeps coming up whenever locals talk about the best one. No it’s not a hawker stall - it’s actually well hidden inside an old building. They surprisingly also serve steamboat and have been doing this for over 60 years. That’s legendary!
And somehow… after all my years in Singapore, I’ve never tried it before. So, I’m finally doing it today as I reflect on my journey since coming here.
It’s also UNIQLO’s bi-annual Kansha-sai (Thank You Festival) — a heartfelt tradition for the brand to express appreciation to customers for their continued support. For me, I expressed Kansha (gratitude) by visiting the places that shaped my experience in Singapore: Yishun, my first home in Singapore (in-law's place), Chinatown and hawkers. It felt great thanking the places and people who supported me and I reminded myself to express gratitude more.
