Hello there! I feel like there was a Star Wars movie in there bursting to get out but ultimately let down by the movie's predecessor The Last Jedi which made it near impossible to feel any built-up tension for the characters who arcs had already been ruined by subversive strange storytelling. There were many moments in the Rise of Skywalker which could've been really impressive and feel emotionally charged instead felt empty, unearned and anticlimactic (Rey defeating the Emperor's force lighting). Hopefully, it will now be realised by the creators that the Last Jedi was damaging for the progression of the franchise and the characters they created. That aside I was particularly impressed with Palpatine saying DO IT again, the John Williams cameo and Wedge Antilles... but not so impressed with that there aren't any more Skywalkers now.

Despite my issues with the new Star Wars movies, I will forever be a massive Star Wars fan. Even though the new stories aren't much for me, I respect and understand that to other people, they are and I hope they get the same amount of pleasure out of them as I did with Episodes I-VI... & Rogue One!
