Today we are looking at two very different, yet equally impressive, releases from Zondervan: the NIV Timeline Bible and the NIV Application Bible in a stunning calfskin cover.
Segment 1: NIV Application Bible] First, we revisit the NIV Application Bible. While I’ve reviewed the interior before, this version features a premium black calfskin cover with striking silver gilding and spine hubs. It includes the same 9-point Comfort Print font and condensed commentary from the 40+ volume NIV Application Commentary series. Plus, it comes with a QR code for free digital access!
Segment 2: NIV Timeline Bible] Then, we dive into the NIV Timeline Bible (formerly the NIV Integrated Study Bible). I’ll be honest—I’m not usually a fan of chronological Bibles, but this one changed my mind. Its unique genre-key color coding and parallel passage layout make it incredibly easy to cross-reference and understand the historical flow of Scripture without getting lost.
