On this video we discuss a public statement the pope made which I believe to be inconsistent with Christian doctrine. To back up my claim I will be translating his talk word by word from Italian which is my first language and then we'll jump into interlinear Greek to English gospel reading and translation to compare his statements and philosophy to what Jesus Christ Himself taught.

The Pope is the head of the Roman Catholic Church and the Bishop of Rome. As the supreme pontiff, he provides spiritual leadership to over 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide. The verse John 14:6 is from the New Testament of the Bible. It reads:
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Jesus is asserting that He is the sole path to God (referred to as "the Father"). This is often interpreted as meaning that salvation or a relationship with God is only possible through Jesus Christ.
