I decided to record some pieces for this season's auditions and this song is one I've been wanting to sing so I added it to my list!
What I adore about Waitress the musical is that you could cast three different women of color, age, and overall makeup up and the show would still kickass. I believe the first all African-American cast just opened their show!
This song is a great opportunity for the singer to float from a straight growly belt to a soaring high head mix voice. Because of this, I was told to cover this song by several of my friends...Sean and Sydney are the two that come to mind right off the bat.
I recorded this video with the kickass crew at Northshore Media company. I cannot tell you know amazing it is to record this stuff with Kevin. This guy KNOWS his technology. He took my performance and enhanced it. I am so pleased with the work he has done.
