When was the last time you physically picked up a photo? Are you old enough to remember flipping through a stack of fresh printsโฆ no not that fresh prince. Although ironically if you do remember this fresh prince, then you likely do remember picking up these fresh prints from your local one hour photo. Maybe youโre too young to remember any of that but youโve got a decade worth of photos sitting on your phone that you havenโt looked at since you took them. Your photosโฆ nononoโฆ your MEMORIES deserve more than just a screen. I mean just look at what you can do with something as simple as a 4x6 image.
The average person spends over 4 and a half hours a day on their phone. We spend so much of our lives staring at a screen that weโve lost what it feels like to hold images in our hands. The ability to curate a physical album, flip through old memories, or sometimes we just need to sit on a couch and experience the love we have for those that are no longer around. The importance of physical photos for me cannot be understated. Whether Iโm just printing off moments of happiness, seeing my photography work come to life in the physical form, or just sharing a memory with a perfect stranger. No amount of likes or followers can contend with the satisfaction of a physical print for me, and Iโd love for everyone else to experience the same feeling for themselves.
Thus In this video Iโm going to show you multiple ways of how to accomplish making prints yourself, and thankfully all of them are quite affordable. The printer Iโm going to focus on the most happens to be extremely easy to use, small, and affordable. That is - the Canon Selphy 1500. Yes the name is a bitโฆ awkward BUT in defense to Canon. They named this printer all the way back in 2004, before โSelfiesโ were ever a thing - so we can let it slide.
