In this video, I take on Pokémon GO’s latest Research Day event in Bend, Oregon, riding my Super73 electric bike through scenic routes and PokéStop-heavy areas to complete as many tasks as possible for a shot at Shundo Amaura and Tyrunt. This isn’t just any gameplay—this is a full-on, real-world, mobile hunting adventure as I chase shiny and 100% IV Pokémon on wheels.
The Setup
Research Day brought some amazing spawns—Amaura and Tyrunt, both shiny-capable and tied to specific field research tasks. With boosted shiny odds and guaranteed minimum IVs from research encounters, it was the perfect setup for a Shundo hunt. Armed with a Super73, a power bank, and a goal to complete the maximum number of tasks, I hit the streets of Bend to make the most of this limited-time event.
Why Super73?
Mobility is everything in field research events. With PokéStops spread across town, my Super73 electric bike let me cover massive ground without burning out. I could quickly hit hot spots, circle around clusters of PokéStops, and loop back to high-density zones for ultra-efficient task collection and completion.
