DAY 3 OF 7 DAYS OF WITTY!
So, I did it. I flat ironed my natural hair. It was cool to look at but I DO NOT prefer the bone straight look. Volume and texture is my favorite look. I only flat ironed my natural hair to give myself a really GOOD trim since I haven’t been pleased with the previous trimming methods on my natural hair. Smoother ends allow me to actually SEE the splits/damaged ends. BUT LISTEN- Straight hair is soooo annoying. I hate seeing shedding hair on the floor. You have to brush straight hair EVERY DAY vs me just fluffing my natural curls and heading out the door.
NOTE: Something was serious wrong with my flat iron. Or maybe it was the heat protectant. It didn’t FEEL as bad as it LOOKS on camera. I decided against oils and additional product as I did not want to fry it into my hair and potentially damage it. Plus I HATE that waxy feeling of product in my straight hair. Honestly, I cringed watching the playback of the footage. But guess what? I AM HUMAN. I make mistakes. I decided to still post this to show that playas mess up too! 💙 Now say a prayer from the future of my curls.🙏🏾
