I messed up — plain and simple.

I 3D printed a skid plate in PLA, even warned not to leave it in a hot car… and then did exactly that. As expected, it melted.

The new PETG skid plate

Removing the old one

Installing the new one on the Bastard Jr rig

Why PETG should handle heat much better

Lesson learned the hard way — and no, I won’t leave it in a hot car again.

Also… I’m not sold on the name Bastard Jr. (You may not be either)
