I found an old Weird-Ohs Rat Fink style model kit on Facebook Marketplace and originally had a VERY simple plan… steal the body, sculpt my own weird little driver, call it a day. Easy. Responsible. Totally normal behavior.
But then my brain betrayed me.
The longer I stared at this thing, the more I started asking myself, “Self… could you build this ENTIRE thing from scratch for absolutely no reason?” And unfortunately, self said yes.
So armed with popsicle sticks, recycled cardboard, Super Sculpey, random junk, and a few 3D printed parts, I went full mad scientist mode and started building. Somehow this chaotic pile of craft supplies slowly transformed into a gloriously weird hot rod monster creation straight out of a fever dream and honestly… it came out WAY cooler than I expected.
In this video you’ll see the entire process, the mistakes, the sculpting, the scratch building, and probably a grown man talking to cardboard like it’s a real engineering material.
