In the south, the proud men of Gondor and her fiefs stand as a great bastion of hope, ever watchful against the looming threat of Mordor in the east. But the winds of war stir the men of Harad and Khand gather, drawn by the will of the Dark Lord. Sauron’s power grows, and the Witch-king spreads his shadow from Minas Morgul.
To the north, the kingdom of Rohan, though vast and wealthy, has grown complacent. The Rohirrim remain unaware of the true evils creeping across their borders. West of them, the wild clans rise chief among them, the fierce Dunlendings. Even the fisherfolk of Enedwaith, newly unified, now question what path they will take in the wars to come. Meanwhile, the White Wizard Saruman hides his true intentions beneath a veil of false wisdom.
Far to the north, in Eriador, the once-glorious kingdom of Arnor lies in ruin. Only a few towns remain in Breeland, lonely remnants of a fading age. In the shadows of Mount Gundabad, the men of Angmar and the orcs have returned, joined by the dark forces of Dol Guldur. Yet the Free Peoples do not sit idle. The Elves of Thranduil's forest and the golden woods of Lothlórien ready themselves for war. So too do the valiant men of Dale and Dorwinion, standing firm against the might of the Easterlings warriors clad in golden armor beneath the banner of the Great Dragon.
And beneath the mountains, the Dwarves stir, fueled by old grudges and a thirst for vengeance.
This is a time of great peril and great heroes a time of reckoning, a time of battle...
A time of TOTAL WAR.
