In this video, I'll show you how I built a universal hub for portable antennas that can be adapted for just about any ham radio project. I call it the HexHub, and with a few common parts, telescopic whips, and a little creativity, you can build a platform that supports everything from HF through VHF and UHF.
This isn't the only way to build one, and that's kind of the point. Throughout the video I explain the design choices I made, offer alternative materials where possible, and encourage you to adapt the project to fit your own station and operating style.
By the end of the build, we'll take the finished HexHub into the field, tune it up, and make contacts to prove that it works.
If you are experimenting with portable antennas for POTA, building a homebrew antenna system, or just looking for a versatile platform to support future antenna projects, I hope this gives you a few ideas.
