In this video I take on the summit of the tallest peak in Arizona! That being the Peak of Mount Humphreys in Flagstaff, Arizona. This peak stands at an elevation of 12,633 feet, making it the tallest mountain in the entire state of Arizona.
In fact, this peak is taller than most peaks in even my home state of Washington! Mount Rainier being the only one that is taller, standing at an elevation of 14,411 feet. So less than 2,000 feet taller. Which is absolutely mind blowing to me.
The peaks and mountains here in Washington are usually full of snow year round, so to get to such elevation, one would have to be snow shoeing and mountaineering. So I do not venture into these elevations very often here in Washington. So this was a true test of my stamina and endurance to be hiking at this elevation in which I am not used to.
It was a very challenging endeavor and a very tough test of my fitness level and determination. I am so proud of this accomplishment and now I can officially utter the words "I have summitted the tallest mountain in the entire state of Arizona." and that to me is pretty darn cool!
