Yesterday, I hit 250 subscribers! This is such a huge milestone and I want to thank everyone who has subbed. It means so much to me!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:
Shown in the middle is an overhead view of the scene. The small orange triangle in the center is the camera. It acts just like a real camera would. It is an overview of everything that is happening in the scene and showing how it comes together to form the final animation.
The whole scene was done in one shot with all the parts moving in unison with the camera. Some parts were very hard to pull off as you’ll probably see in this. Timing everything to make sure there were no hard cuts was difficult as well.
The video playing in the top right corner is what the animation looks like before it was rendered out. The black lines inside the characters are their bones. When animating in 3D, most of the time you only move the bones of the character, not the model itself. This weird coloration is what I saw while animating the entire video. I had to differentiate which model was which by changing their skin tones in the view port to orange (good) and green (bad). If I didn’t do this, they would both show up as purple and there would be no way to tell the difference.
Also, the cake in the poisoned birthday cake shot is the cake from Portal. Fun fact, I tried to render it with all of the chocolate flakes on the outside, but it ended up crashing my computer when I did so!
