I'm come to the Lake District to take on the Kentmere Horseshoe hiking trail. My aim was to wild camp towards the end of my backpacking trip. The Lake District National Park encompasses 214 Wainwright Walks. I must have completed over half by now hiking and wild camping.

However, I've never been to the far eastern fells. I guessed they were too small and flat. How wrong was I! The mountains and landscape is simply stunning from start to finish.

During my backpacking trip I was testing our my 'new' Hilleberg tent and my new Fjallraven gear. Both sets of outdoor gear performed brilliantly.
