This city changed my life and I have never felt more at home in a city that is not my home. Revisiting Rio de Janeiro as an adult made me see it in a completely different way. People always tell you Brazil is unsafe and you have to be careful in Brazil. But that’s just not what our experience was. The only thing you have to be careful of in Brazil is not to fall in love with it and leave your whole life behind. We thought about it. Literally.
