I've been having fun playing minecraft hardcore for the past year, and I've been dabbling with superflat by playing on the flatline smp. Now, I've been a big fan of minecraft superflat and I love its restrictions on what you can and can't get, but that is contrasted with one of the other things I love about minecraft and that's progression and obtaining everything. Superflat+ is not a replacement for Superflat mode, but just a different mode altogether. The Superflat+ datapack essentially just changes the world generation, If you wish to have all of the "Superflat+" features you will need to use the carpet mod, for things like renewable deepslate. (though a full mod is in the works) It's just nice to finally be able to obtain every block, defeat every boss, and visit every biome in minecraft superflat. This time around tho? we are getting shulkers, digging holes, and smelting golems. And I amy or may not have gone on vacation...

I havent made one of these in over a year :o (again)
Okay this time for real I hope to be back and make these relatively consistently. though uploading a video longer than 12 hours is an oddly difficult thing to accomplish on Youtube, but I did eventually manage to make it work!
In this episode I gather resources and start building on a large city by the coast! Working with a bright pallet of a multitude of colors I spend hours grinding away at resources and slowly designing a building with an apartment complexe above a convenience store!

I highly recommend trying to design things from real world references over trying to take inspiration from other minecraft builds directly, It definitely works on those creative muscles tthat youll need to develop if you want to get better at building. and trust me, Ive got a LONG way to go!
Distant world LODs and world map were pregenerated in a copy of the world and then that map/LODs were transferred over to the main save. This way I can see incredibly far with Voxy and Xaeros worldmap without having the bloated file storage of all of those unvisted chunks! (and even better I didnt have to visit any of those chunks!)
