I built a complete portable offline internet with Project Nomad, giving me access to offline maps, Wikipedia, local AI and other self-hosted services without an internet connection. The system is built around a Beelink SER9 MAX, GL.iNet Slate 7 router and QNAP switch, all housed in a custom 3D-printed portable enclosure with a 3K OLED touchscreen. Connect over Wi-Fi or Ethernet and Project Nomad becomes an offline internet for your phone, tablet or laptop, perfect for remote locations, camping, travelling or just as a capable portable homelab.
