Can a cheap mini PC replace Valve's new Steam Machine?
I've wanted a Steam Machine ever since Valve announced it, but spending over $1,000 USD didn't make sense for what I actually wanted. My goal was simple. A compact living room gaming console for indie games, couch co-op, emulation, and streaming AAA games from my main gaming PC.

So I picked up the @GEEKOMPC A7, installed SteamOS, and turned it into my own budget Steam Machine.
To make it feel like a real console, I also designed and 3D printed a custom docking station with a push-button eject mechanism, making it easy to move the mini PC between rooms.
