Today I am back on MapleStory Worlds to play Southperry, a classic roguelike version of mapleStory. I saw Togain play this and it looked super fun. And after dropping a few hours into this game it really is super fun! Especially if you played old school maplestory as it will be a trip down memory lane.

When you start the game you can choose to be a thief, a dexless assassin, pirate, mage or warrior. Each have their own specialities and skills. Mages for example get a skill to boost exp and drop rate, while warriors get a special mobbing attack that also gives them 1 second of invincibility etc etc. In Southperry each time you level of on an even level, so level 2, 4, 8, 10 etc. You will get to unlock a new passive buff. And this can be anything, from defense, to hp, to making your projectiles explode, buff your monster collection codes and so forth. You can go crazy with special builds, focus on your strengths or take more risks and for example remove the hp recovery when you level up and get passive stats instead.
