A broken guitar string led to one of my favorite tracks in the Musical Soundscapes series.

While composing in the English Garden in Munich, I broke a guitar string and instead of going home to fix it, I continued playing with only five strings. That limitation forced me to use different chord voicings and ideas, which eventually became the track Brazilian Rhapsody, my favorite track from the Musical Soundscapes album Dolphin Dance.
