I bought my dream house… so why doesn’t it feel like home yet?
In today’s house renovation vlog, I’m making more progress renovating my 100-year-old house alone — but I’m also realising just how overwhelming a house renovation can be when you’re doing it by yourself.
My house renovation plans are already changing, including a BIG rethink of where my new kitchen should go, what to do with the bedrooms, bathroom and dressing room, and how I actually want this 100-year-old house to work long-term.
There’s also plenty of DIY renovation as I continue building my office bookshelves, tackle some smaller DIY jobs around the house, make progress on my bedroom and, naturally, spend £150 on a lamp while simultaneously worrying about how much my house renovation is going to cost. Excellent financial planning.
I absolutely love my dream house and feel incredibly lucky to be renovating it, but moving house, renovating alone and trying to turn an empty 100-year-old house into a home has been a much bigger adjustment than I expected.
So come along for another house renovation vlog as I continue renovating my dream house, attempt some DIY, rethink my renovation plans and slowly turn this 100-year-old house into a home.
