There are hard bosses…
There are broken bosses…
And then there’s The General.
From the obscure arcade fighter Kaiser Knuckle, this hidden boss is widely considered one of the most overpowered, unfair, and borderline unbeatable bosses in fighting game history.
And today…
I tried to beat him.
🧠 WHO IS THE GENERAL?
If you’ve never heard of him — you’re not alone.
The General is a secret boss that only appears after:
✔ Completing the entire game
✔ On a single credit
✔ Against already tough AI
And then…
He shows up.
And everything changes.
💀 WHY THIS BOSS IS INSANE
This guy isn’t just difficult…
He’s broken by design.
⚡ Near instant reaction speed
⚡ Unpunishable attacks
⚡ Devastating combos
⚡ Zero room for error
Honestly?
He makes bosses like M. Bison look balanced.
🏆 FEW PEOPLE HAVE DONE THIS
Before attempting this, I’d only ever seen a handful of players beat him:
🔥 Fighting game legend Justin Wong
🔥 High-level players like Smug/Smog
That’s the level we’re talking about.
🎮 THE CHALLENGE
Beat The General.
That’s it.
But to even get there…
You have to:
✔ Learn the game
✔ Survive the full arcade run
✔ Stay consistent under pressure
✔ And THEN face the hardest boss ever created
🧠 HOW I ACTUALLY BEAT HIM
After hours of attempts…
Getting destroyed…
Double perfected…
Questioning life choices…
I finally found something that worked:
👉 Dragon Punch (anti-air) into bounce
👉 Delay jump kick (VERY late timing)
👉 Sweep into follow-up combo
👉 Repeat when possible
Sounds simple?
It’s not.
You need:
✔ Perfect timing
✔ Sharp reactions
✔ And a bit of luck
Because sometimes…
He just doesn’t let you play.
⏱️ HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE?
Hours.
Multiple characters tested.
Multiple failed strategies.
Multiple near breaks.
And then finally…
Clutch.
🥇 MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Out of everything on this channel:
✔ Street Fighter grind
✔ Retro challenges
✔ Fighting game runs
This might be…Number one.
