Hi y'all! I'm so excited to bring this very special video to you today on International Women's Day 2019, in collaboration with #BUILTBYGIRLS. #BUILTBYGIRLS is an organization that prepares the next generation of women leaders, creators, and builders to step boldy into their careers powered by technology.
I was flown out to New York a couple of weeks ago to film this extra for their "This is a World #BUILTBYGIRLS" campaign, which promotes a more inclusive world for women and nonbinary genders to thrive in their careers. They filmed conversations between experts in the tech industry with students who are entering their careers, which were absolutely incredible to witness and be a part of. I highly recommend their video series for a serious dosage of inspiration and motivation!
I'm a HUGE fan of organizations like these that lift up folks from marginalized communities into technology, no matter the career they want to pursue. I hope y'all are just as excited as I am about the enthusiasm around initiatives like these because they play a pivotal role in diversifying the industry and making tech a better place.
