Bungie just revealed the Ordnance Heist, a brand-new limited-time PvPvE event coming to Marathon — and honestly, I’m pretty excited about it.
The event has players hunting UESC enemies, collecting Manifests and Key Templates, completing objectives across multiple Zones, and eventually obtaining three Firestorm Locker Keys to unlock the brand-new Firestorm power weapon. The catch? Other Runners will be hunting for the exact same rewards, meaning this could get VERY interesting.
But while I’m excited about the concept, there seems to be quite a bit of hesitation from the Marathon community — particularly around just how difficult and time-consuming this event could be to complete.
In this video, I break down everything Bungie revealed about the Ordnance Heist, how the progression works, the Firestorm weapon, the potential problems with the event, and whether I think this could be an awesome addition to Marathon or another frustrating grind.
