For William Novini, BSN, RN, a  Cardiothoracic ICU Nurse at The Mount Sinai Hospital, nursing is about teamwork, mentorship, and making patients feel human during some of their most vulnerable moments. This year, he was honored with the Daisy Award for Excellence in Nursing—nominated by one of his heart transplant patients.
