I almost returned the NEW K-Pop Demon Hunters Collector Dolls… 😳

In this video, I’m reviewing the NEW K-Pop Demon Hunters Collector Doll Set featuring HUNTR/X — Rumi, Mira, and Zoey — wearing their iconic “This Is What It Sounds Like” outfits from the Netflix film! This is one of the most highly anticipated K-Pop Demon Hunters doll releases, but with a price of $50 per doll / $150 for the full set, I was seriously questioning whether these collector dolls were actually worth the money.
And honestly… I was NOT sure I was going to keep them.
After taking a closer look at the dolls, outfits, hair, accessories, stands, and overall quality, I had to decide: Do these K-Pop Demon Hunters collector dolls justify the HUGE price increase over the $26 playline dolls?
Spoiler: I ended up keeping them! ❤️
These dolls completely won me over, and I LOVE them — especially because “This Is What It Sounds Like” is my favorite song from K-Pop Demon Hunters! Seeing Rumi, Mira, and Zoey recreated in these outfits makes this set especially exciting for me.
But that doesn't mean I think they're perfect…

💜 Are these really collector dolls?
One of the biggest improvements is the hair. Unlike the playline K-Pop Demon Hunters dolls, which use poly hair for the fantasy-colored hair, these collector dolls feature Saran hair. Rumi also has her character patterns printed all over her body, which adds an extra level of detail to her design.
The collector dolls also come with newly designed stands and a new waist clip that I actually prefer to the traditional Barbie-style waist clips. The outfits are completely new designs made specifically for these dolls and have some really nice details.
However, there are still some things that bothered me for the price. A lot of the actual doll details are reused from the $26 playline dolls, and I don't love all of the plastic detailing on the outfits. I also wish more of the outfit details were actually metallic. At $50 each, I think the clothing could have been made to a higher standard.
Personally, I think $40–$45 would have been a much more comfortable price point for these dolls.
BUT…
Despite all of my complaints, I ultimately realized that I really, REALLY like this set. In fact, I think I would have been genuinely disappointed if I had returned them!
So let's take a close look at the NEW K-Pop Demon Hunters Collector Dolls and decide whether Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are actually worth adding to your collection. 🖤💜
