Designing a movie poster comes with a whole lot of challenges. If you add too much detail, the thumbnail is not very readable and it gets lost. Most people wont know what to focus on and it just looks crowded. There are a few things you can do to maintain visual flow and keep it clear while still giving the viewer a lot to look at. In this image, i had to crowd about 12 characters or more into one image and I ended up cutting it short because it just wasnt working. if i added more characters, it would be even more crowded. I also tried to draw it on paper at one point and I don't know if that was a good idea or not. I kinda regretted it, since the piece just took forever to finish.
