Your children do not have to be your jailors Lindybeige 2023-04-19 | Shot in Bari, Southern Italy. I was in the region for a week or so, and every night saw children out at all hours and all seemed fine. Admittedly, clement evening weather helped, which not all the world has quite so often. I suppose that this is an 'opinion piece'. It does seem to me that modern parents should be more like their grandparents, and let children roam free more. Would any of my opinions on child-rearing ever survive contact with my actual children? A Chap and a Uke plays Awfully Different Without You Lindybeige 2021-10-14 | I always thought that this song was called 'Awfully Different Without You'. In fact it is called 'Don't Get Around Much Any More', but my mistaken title is every bit as good, I think. It was written by Duke Ellington (notes) and Bob Russell (words) but often gets attributed elsewhere because it has been covered so many times.
