Wonder Woman Original Song - The Light goombanna 2022-10-15 | Quinton and I started working in February to create an original composition that explored what Wonder Woman's song might be like if she were in a musical. We decided it would be a conflict song, but finding the cracks in a character that is created to be sure of herself wasn't easy, and we went through quite a few drafts! Eventually we settled on the idea of her being all alone and not knowing where to turn after completing the task she thought would fix everything, only to find that it didn't. In this instance, she has just fought and killed Ares, the god of war. She assumes that killing him would end war among humans, but is shattered to find this is not the case. Her belief that people are inherently good and that they just need guidance to do the right thing is ultimately what pushes her forward and allows her to step into a role as a leader for good.Quinton is a musical theatre composer, coach, and songwriter, and is currently in the cast of Hamilton on Broadway. Everything I Wanted goombanna 2020-07-22 | I wanted to practice my close-up acting, and lip syncing to this song seemed like the perfect opportunity since I already loved the song and really wanted to bring Billie Eilish's vulnerability in it to life. This song was a tribute to Billie's brother and writing partner, who refused to help Billie write a song about a suicidal dream she had until Billie added the chorus and decided to make it about them as siblings and what they meant to each other. Growing Up from Merrily We Roll Along goombanna 2019-11-13 | When Gussie asks Frank to spend a night of infidelity with her instead of reuniting with his closest friends, he must choose between two paths: faithfulness to his roots or the temptation, seduction, and glamour of fame and fortune.So excited to see this brought to life after 2 and a half months of planning and working on this project!! I fell in love with the character of Gussie when I got to play her in a production of Merrily We Roll Along in college. She's so deliciously bitchy and over-the-top and SUCH a fun character to sink my teeth into! Here's a fun fact: both in this video and when I did the production previously, I made sure Gussie doesn't move any closer after she says "hm?" This is to force Frank to initiate the kiss, finalizing his decision to go down this path of destruction. She never forces him to do anything- the choice is ultimately his, and I love that.In the musical this scene takes place in 1968 when the characters are a good bit older, but I decided to do a more contemporary take with them at a younger age. Many of the details, like Frank having just moved in, remain the same though! :)I had an incredible team that made this possible! Please go check out all of their other work! ALWAYS be wary, skeptical, and diligent when taking jobs!! And, if in doubt, stay on the safe side!!The irony of making a video questioning how storytimes can be 25 minutes long and then making a 25 minute-long storytime is not lost on me.
