He gave me big sweeping compliments and made me feel like a real musician. I was recently informed on my Discord that my friend, Sirabugh, has passed away. Months ago, I had sent my song, Light in the Dark to him to produce and he gave me this mp3 that you can hear in the video above.Right after he said he wanted to do more work on it and then I got the news of his passing.This song will stay in this mp3 format and live on in its "unfinished" and perfectly finished state forever. English As She Is Spoke by Graham Yates crrissa_the_cyberbard 2025-02-21 | My dear friend Graham wrote this wildly charming song cycle called, "English as She Is Spoke" based on a book by a Portuguese-English phrase book written by an author who, remarkably, spoke no English. With the help of a pair of dictionaries, Pedro Carolino (the unknowing librettist of this piece) translated a series of expressions from his native Portuguese into French and from French into English. The result is a set of poems with unintentional hilarity, even praised by Mark Twain for its "miraculous stupidities."Twain continues, "In this world of uncertainties, there is, at any rate, one thing which may be pretty confidently set down as a certainty: and that is, that this celebrated little phrase-book will never die while the English language lasts. What Baking Can Do from Waitress the Musical crrissa_the_cyberbard 2025-01-29 | I recently auditioned for Waitress the Musical at Zach Scott Theatre in Austin, Texas. I got called back for the role I originally auditioned for (Dawn). But something unexpected happened...I also got a callback for the lead role! I had never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would have been called back for the leading role (Jenna) in this show. Its a BIG emotional piece about a young mother who has an unexpected pregnancy. I was assigned a few pieces for the callback including this one called, "What Baking Can Do."After learning this song and coaching it with my musical theatre coach, Micheal Scott Harris, I now believe this is most challenging vocal piece in the entire role. Good on the directors for asking us to sing this in the callback! Yesterday, I received the email that told me "Unfortunately, we don't have a role for you in this production, but we look forward to considering you for future productions!"Regardless of how the cast list looks this time, learning this piece has been such a delight and I wouldn't take back my audition experience for the world!I would love to play Jenna someday, until then, here is a sweet taste of What Baking Can Do.

Twitch Music Streamer Interviews Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch and Sings a Virtual Duet crrissa_the_cyberbard 2023-08-31 | I met Dan Clancy in the only appropriate place to meet the CEO of Twitch: In a Twitch chat. My friend Rob Kovacs was interviewing Dan on his channel and I raided Rob after my stream and hung out for a bit. Rob shouted me out on stream and Dan and I connected later on in person at Paris Twitch Con! Dan told me that he'd be jumping on stage to close out the weekend and so I stayed and happened to get the chance to sing "Hey Jude" with all the musical twitch lovelies.
